Dr Ritsuko (Ritz) Kakuma

Associate Professor in Global Mental Health, Programme Director for MSc in Global Mental Health

Ritz Kakuma is an Associate Professor in Global Mental Health at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and co-Programme Director and co-Director for the joint MSc in Global Mental Health and the Centre for Global Mental Health, both of which are in partnership with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London. She is an epidemiologist and mixed methods researcher and works predominantly in the area of mental health services and policy research and capacity strengthening in global mental health. She has worked closely with governments to advise on policy development, mental health services and policy research, programme evaluation as well as delivered leadership training for a wide range of stakeholders for over 15 years.
