Dr Urvita Bhatia

Research Fellow

Urvita is a Research Fellow at the Department of Population Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has trained in clinical psychology and global mental health. Her host institution in India is Sangath, a mental health research NGO . Her research and clinical interests span community-based prevention and treatment approaches for substance use-related problems, for both, individuals and families, and the development and evaluation of such interventions. She is also interested in culturally appropriate treatments to address mental health and gender-based violence, particularly intimate partner violence and common mental disorders.
