Ibrahim Kasujja
Professionally a clinical nutritionist, Ibrahim holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Human Nutrition) from Uganda and a Master of Science degree (Human Nutrition) from McGill University in Canada. At McGill University, Ibrahim developed the Day Scholars Food Insecurity Experience Scale, a school food insecurity measure which can be used to assess the effectiveness of school feeding programmes in low- and middle-income countries. Ibrahim is pursuing his PhD at the Center for Global Mental Health (CGMH) within the Health Services and Population Research Department (HSPRD) in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurosciences (IoPPN) at King’s College London. His PhD examines a complex bi-directional link between food insecurity and mental health conditions in Ugandan children and adolescents; by unpacking social causation and social drift pathways. His PhD is interdisciplinary and cuts across the fields of Global Mental Health and Global Food Security.
