CHANCES-6 film
Poverty, mental health, and the way they interact determine the life chances of young people in low- and middle-income countries. In this film, world-leading researchers, including Dr Sara Evans-Lacko and Professor Crick Lund, talk about how CHANCES-6 seeks to shed light on those relationships. CHANCES-6 is a three-year study (Sept 2018 to Nov 2021) led by the Care and Policy Evaluation Centre (CPEC) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). It is conducted in partnership with King’s College London, Universidad de los Andes, University of Cape Town, and Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. The project is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). Findings from the research seek to inform decisions about investments into mental health and poverty-reduction programmes in the six low- and middle-income countries covered by the research, and beyond.
