Tatiana Salisbury appointed as CGMH Co-Director at King’s College London
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Tatiana Salisbury as the new Co-Director of the Centre for Global Mental Health at King’s College London.
Dr Salisbury has a long history with the Centre, having joined in 2012. She brings a wealth of skills in global mental health research and teaching to this role. She was a module lead and member of the exam board and programme committee for the MSc in GMH, and has led innovative research on the co-development of mental health interventions in low resource settings. She also brings strong policy experience, for example as Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Training and Research in Mental Health at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience. As Deputy Director of CGMH, she has contributed actively to the development and implementation of our 2023-2026 Strategic Plan.
Tatiana said: “As a longtime member of CGMH, I am delighted to have the opportunity to give back to a community from which I have received so much. I look forward to building upon the strengths of the Centre in the coming years to deepen and expand our partnerships, support the development of early career researchers, and further contribute to the exchange of knowledge to enhance the availability of equitable and effective mental health support around the world.”
Tatiana joins Prof Crick Lund as CGMH Co-Director at King’s College London, together with CGMH Co-Directors at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Prof Abhijit Nadkarni and Dr Ritz Kakuma.
