She is a health systems and implementation researcher and is particularly interested in brief psychological interventions. One important aspect of her work is to strengthen mental health systems in resource constrained settings, and to seek ways to overcome health system challenges to improve mental health outcomes. Her current research includes the development and implementation of a new transdiagnostic intervention addressing alcohol misuse and psychological distress among conflict-affected populations.
